Celebrating Christmas a few days early....

We had Christmas today with my side of the family at Gary and Sommerlyn's house. Gary and Sommerlyn are with Gary's family for Christmas so we had to celebrate early this year. Malaya was so excited to open presents. She wasn't too sure at first about my dad wearing his Santa Claus hat! The best part was Mom made Malaya a doll - bigger than her. She ended up having the same outfit on that Malaya had on. Mom had gotten them matching outfits and Malaya had opened hers earlier and had to put it on. Malaya had no idea what to think when they pulled the doll out of the box - it was so cute! It's so nice to have Christmas with a kid around!! We made dad a Jeff Gordon bean bag game. We wrapped up a box of "beans" and also a box of walmart "bags" to see if dad would catch on. You can tell he's getting old (sorry dad) as he didn't catch on so eventually had to open up the bean bags in order to catch what was going on!
We are sitting here now with the temperature being -9 - doesn't sound too bad until you get the windchills in. They are predicting between -30 and -40 with windchills! Our toliet pipe is froze yet again - we are just hoping nothing breaks! Tomorrow we are going back to Black Hawk for Malaya's 2nd birthday party! I am so excited for that - yet can't believe she's already going to be 2! I posted pictures from Christmas today! Hope everyone is staying warm! I will try and post from Malaya's birthday too!

Malaya and the doll mom made her!

My aunt made me scrubbies and towels!

he's excited on the inside - even though he doesn't
look like it!

Malaya slept all night in her new bed so Grandpa
was giving her double fist bumps!

Malaya and the doll again!

She's not sure what to think of her yet!

This one makes me laugh - she's still not sure!

We put the speech of when dad got EMT of the year
into a frame for him - I was taking pictures of dad with
it and Malaya wanted to hold it and be in the picture!

She is Grandma's cooking buddy
so mom got her an apron!
