It has been a busy week for us. Last weekend, we were supposed to go to Omaha for a seminar, but ended up not going because of the weather. Sommerlyn and the girls came to Spearfish and hung out for the weekend. We got Valentine's boxes done for the girls and played a lot of Ping Pong!
Then on Saturday night, we were able to hang out with Mike's friend Luke and his daughter. Luke is home on leave from Afghanastain so it was nice being able to see him. His daughter and the girls were able to play too!
We have been trying to decide what to do with our land for the past few months. We have checked into different options and have decided that right now it's going to be too expensive to build on the land. Plus, with all the cuts going on in education - no way am I quitting my job and going somewhere else and end up at the bottom of the totem pole right now. Education sometimes has the motto of "
Last hired - first fired" when it comes to jobs. We have went back and forth a lot and have decided that the money we spend in driving back and forth right now we could put towards a house and just live in Spearfish. So, we have been waiting for the right house to come on the market. It did and as of Tuesday night, we are in contract with it. It has been a stressful process - but it is all falling together. We close on it March 18th - which happens to be my spring break too so it all worked out! We listed our house on the market on Monday and are hoping to get an offer on it. It has already been shown once - which isn't bad considering the time it has been on the market! The new house has an unfinished basement which we will finish some day. We are looking forward to being able to have a garage and a dog too once grass gets planted!
So it has been a busy week and I'm sure the next month will go fast too getting ready to move! We are suppose to have nice weather the next few days - so we are looking forward to that to melt some of the ice around! I hope everyone has a good week!
