Life in Spearfish...: January

I have finally been feeling better and am hoping I don't get another round of the cold! It seems like the kids are starting to get better too - or I am just getting used to it and don't hear the coughing anymore! We are a couple weeks into the new semester and so far so so good! It's crazy to think that last year at this time we were planning every part of our wedding and having the showers. It doesn't seem like it has already been almost 9 months!

This past weekend, Sommerlyn and the girls came to Spearfish to stay. We had a lot of fun going bowling and Mike and Sommerlyn playing ping pong. It doesn't seem like we get to spend a whole lot of time with them so it was fun to be able to hang out with them! The girls are so cute and are at such a fun age. I asked Malaya what she wanted to be when she grew up and she told me that she wasn't going to grow up - she was going to stay small. Then Sunday we went to church and out to lunch with them. We were planning on going ice fishing - but it was too windy to go! This week has been so nice so we are hoping that it stays that way for the weekend. Although, it probably won't as that has been our luck this year!
Mike's dad was put in the hospital last week with a bad cold. He was having a really hard time breathing - but is doing better now.It was nice that he was in the Spearfish hospital so we were all able to go and visit him. They let him out on Monday so he is taking it easy right now!

Last night, Reese had his band/choir concert for school. After we got there, we realized that some other friends kids were also in the band/choir so we got to see them too! It was fun to see and Reese plays saxaphone which I played when I was in high school! Here are some pictures in no particular order!
