Last weekend, we went with the Bergmans to Denver. Friday night we stayed in Ft. Collins - then did some shopping Saturday morning before heading into Denver.
We stayed at the Grand Hyatt downtown in Denver. A little more classy than what Mike and I are used to - but it was fun. Saturday we did some shopping at the 16th Street Mall. It was such a nice day - we couldn't have asked for a better weekend! We decided to go to a Nuggets Game that night. We haven't been to a professional basketball game - so it was something we can add to our list that we have done now. The Nuggets were playing the Bulls. Nuggets ended up pulling out a win over them!
Then we went out for a bit - man there are some crazy people out in Denver at night. Definately not South Dakota - sure makes us appreciate Spearfish! :)
Sunday morning - we ate breakfast at The Cheesecake Factory. Mike ordered a breakfast burrito and was complaining before it came that it was going to be some wimpy burrito and he would still be hungry, etc. When it came - it was huge! All he could say was that it was the best burrito he has ever ate! We did have some cheesecake too - it was yummy too!
Then off to the Bronco's game. Mike and I aren't really Broncos fans - but the Bergmans are! Our seats were pretty high - but it was still a lot of fun! There were Chargers fans among all the Broncos fan - it was fun to hear them go back and forth. Mike did see a couple of ladies start to fight - one was a Broncos fan and one was a Chargers Fan! In the end, the Broncos got stomped on.
We took off for home after the game. It was pretty quiet the majority of the way home. We got home about 1:00 that night to Sturgis. Then Mike and I came back to Spearfish and we walked in the house and it was 45 degrees. We messed with the furnace for a while and couldn't get it to work. We ended up calling my dad to see if if there was something that he knew about it that we didn't. He came out and said that the ignitior wasn't lighting - so we would have to call someone. We felt bad calling him at 1:30 in the morning to come out - but figured he has nothing better to to do the next day - then sleep?! :) We ended up going to bed about 2:30 that night with no heat. It was so cold -but we managed. Then off to school the next day! It was a fun and busy weekend!
